The website widget brings your organization's appointment service to your own website: visitors click a button, and the right form opens in a window right on your page – no redirect. You add it with a single script tag.

## Prerequisites

- You're an organization owner. The widget is set up for the whole organization.
- The website widget is available under **Organization › Integrations › Website widget**, if enabled for your account.
- Which functions the widget can offer depends on your plan. If a function is missing, the page shows **Further functions are available depending on your plan**.

## How to set up the widget

1. Open **Organization › Integrations › Website widget**.
2. Under **Functions on offer**, choose what the widget offers:
   - **Appointment request** – visitors suggest preferred times, and you confirm afterwards.
   - **Book directly** – visitors pick a free slot from your calendar themselves.
   - **Digital waiting room** – visitors check in without an appointment and wait online in the queue. How your team brings them in is described in [Use the digital waiting room](https://help.meetone.io/en/professionals/use-digital-waiting-room).
   - **Send documents** – visitors send you documents through the secure inbox, confirmed with an email code.
   - **Waitlist** – visitors join your organization's waitlist so you can invite them to book later. See [Set up the waitlist](https://help.meetone.io/en/organizations-admins/set-up-waitlist).
3. Under **Appearance**, set:
   - **Show the team's profile pictures** – shows your organization's professionals in the widget; initials appear where there's no profile picture. If it's switched off, the widget shows only initials and the selection doesn't list the professionals.
   - **Button label** – replaces the default text. The default is "Book an appointment"; if the widget offers only one function, it is that function's name, for example "Appointment request".
   - **Position** – **Bottom right** or **Bottom left**.
   - **Greeting text** – a short text shown in the dialog under your organization's name and on the fixed card. The floating button itself has no room for it.
4. Under **Colors**, match **Accent colour**, **Button colour**, **Button text colour**, **Header background colour** and **Header text colour** to your website's design. Each field shows its default value.
5. Switch on **Show the widget on my website** and click **Save**.

The **Preview** card shows the widget exactly as your visitors will see it – as a floating button and as an embedded card. It appears once the widget is switched on and saved and at least one function is on offer, and shows the saved settings.

> **Note**
>
> Switching the widget on doesn't change your website by itself. The widget only becomes visible once the code from the next section is added to your website.

## How to add the widget to your website

You'll find the code on the same page under **Embedding it on your website**. Hand it to your web developer; it only needs to be added once.

- **Floating button** – added once before the closing `</body>` tag, the button appears on every page in the corner you chose.
- **Fixed placement in the page content** – the widget appears as a card exactly where the `<div>` element sits. The floating button then steps aside.
- **Both variants together** – with one extra parameter on the script tag, both the card and the floating button appear.

The same page also lists a viewport meta tag and a short CSS rule your website needs so the widget displays correctly on smartphones. The technical details for your web developer are in the developer documentation: [Embed the Website Widget](https://help.meetone.io/developers/integrations/embed-website-widget).

Your website must be served over HTTPS. If it uses a Content Security Policy, your MeetOne domain has to be allowed in it.

## What visitors see

- **One function:** Clicking the button opens the matching form directly.
- **Several functions:** Visitors pick an option first; the back arrow at the top left takes them back to the selection.
- **Several functions and several professionals:** If **Show the team's profile pictures** is switched on (the default), the selection also lists your organization's professionals. Visitors who pick a person book with or send their request to that person directly. With only one function there is no selection, so no list either.
- **Digital waiting room outside opening hours:** If you've set opening hours under **Organization › Integrations › Digital waiting room**, the option stays visible but can't be clicked and reads "Closed · opens again …". With no upcoming time window it just reads "Closed".
- **Send documents:** Documents always go to the [organization's upload link](https://help.meetone.io/en/professionals/receive-documents-secure-inbox), even if the visitor picked a professional first. While that link is disabled, the widget doesn't offer the option – the settings page then points this out.
- **Waitlist:** Entries always go to the organization's waitlist. While the waitlist link is disabled, the widget doesn't offer the option – the settings page points this out too.

## Changes and switching it off

Settings changes are visible on your website after about a minute – you don't need to add anything again. If you switch off **Show the widget on my website**, the widget disappears from your website without anyone having to remove the code.

## Common issues

- **I can't find Website widget under Integrations.** The widget needs to be enabled for your account, and your plan must include at least one of its functions. Only organization owners see the menu item.
- **Nothing appears on my website.** Check that **Show the widget on my website** is switched on and at least one function is selected. Have your web developer check that the code is added completely and that a Content Security Policy isn't blocking the MeetOne domain.
- **The button appears, but the window stays empty.** Usually your website's Content Security Policy is blocking the embedded window. Your web developer will find the entries needed in the developer documentation.
- **Send documents is missing from the selection.** The organization's upload link is disabled. Switch it back on under **Organization › Integrations › Secure inbox**.
- **Waitlist is missing from the selection.** The waitlist link is disabled. Switch **Link active** back on under **Organization › Integrations › Waitlist link**.
