Short explanations of the words you meet in MeetOne — with the German term alongside and a link to the full article.
A
- Additional participants
- People joining a video appointment alongside the professional and the participant — relatives, interpreters or colleagues, for example.
- Appointment request
- A requested appointment that still needs confirming. Only once confirmed does it become an appointment.
- Appointment type (availability type)
- A template for bookable appointments: its name, its duration and the rules that apply to that kind of appointment.
- Availability
- A window of time in which appointments can be booked.
C
- Call quality indicator
- The indicator inside a video appointment showing how stable the connection currently is.
- Case
- The entry under which one person’s appointments, documents and questionnaires come together.
- Change history
- The record of who changed what, and when, inside the organization.
- Complete the appointment
- The step that ends and documents an appointment after the video call.
- Consent
- The agreement participants give before an appointment — to the treatment, or to the processing of their data.
- Consent template
- The text an organization stores as its consent declaration and uses for its appointments.
D
- Data deletion
- Removing your data — at your request, or automatically once your organization’s retention period has passed.
- Data residency
- Where your data is stored. With MeetOne, that is Germany and the EU.
- Dauerraum
- The former German name for a permanent room. It means the same thing: a video room that stays reachable under the same link.
- DPA
- The data processing agreement between an organization and MeetOne, setting out how MeetOne processes data on the organization’s behalf.
E
- End-to-end encryption
- Encryption where content only becomes readable again at the other end. Nobody in between can read it, MeetOne included.
G
- GDPR
- The EU General Data Protection Regulation. It governs how personal data may be processed and what rights you have over it.
- Guest access
- How an external physician gets into a video appointment: a link by email plus a separate six-digit code by SMS.
J
- Join link
- The personal link to a video appointment, sent in the appointment email and shown in your appointment overview.
K
- KBV certification
- Confirmation by Germany’s National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians that a video service meets the requirements for video consultations.
L
- Login link
- The default way to sign in: you enter your email address and use the link you receive by email, with no password at all.
M
- Medical assistant
- One of the two member roles: it supports practitioners with organizational work such as appointments, contacts and questionnaires.
- Medical confidentiality
- The duty of professionals to keep confidential everything entrusted to them in the course of their work.
- MFA
- The common German abbreviation for a medizinische Fachangestellte, a medical assistant. In MeetOne this is the Medical Assistant role.
O
- Organization
- The shared account of an organization: team, settings, plan and billing all belong to it.
- Organization owner
- The only role that manages an organization’s team, plan, billing, templates and API access.
P
- Participant
- The person attending an appointment — as a patient, a client, someone seeking advice, or a relative.
- Patient
- The medical word for a participant. It stays where the product itself uses it: the patient record, prescriptions and KBV documents.
- Patient journal
- The running history of notes about a person: what was discussed and what comes next.
- Patient record
- Where the documents and measurements belonging to one person are collected.
- Patient subscription
- A subscription on the participant’s side, used to bill certain services of an organization.
- Permanent room
- A video room that stays reachable under the same link instead of being cleaned up automatically after 24 hours.
- Plan
- The package an organization has booked. It decides which features are available.
- Planned and actual duration
- The planned duration is the length set on the appointment. The actual duration is the time participants really spent in the video room.
- Planner
- Where professionals set out their availability for video appointments.
- Practitioner
- One of the two member roles: practitioners run their own appointments and video appointments.
- Prescription
- A medical prescription issued, signed and delivered to the participant in MeetOne.
Q
- Questionnaire
- A form participants fill in before the appointment, so the essentials are already on file.
- Questionnaire template
- The reusable template that questionnaires for appointments are created from.
R
- Retention period
- The span of time after which data in MeetOne is deleted automatically.
- Role and permission
- A role says what someone is responsible for in the team. A permission says what that person may actually see and change.
S
- Screen sharing
- Sharing your own screen into a running video appointment so that everyone sees the same thing.
- Seat
- The billing unit for team members: every person actively using MeetOne takes up one seat in the organization’s plan.
- Secure documents
- Documents that are not sent as an attachment but made available through a protected link.
- SSO
- Signing team members in through their organization’s own account system, Microsoft Entra ID for example.
- System check
- A short test that checks whether your camera, microphone, browser and internet connection are ready before the appointment.
T
- Tasks
- A sidebar area collecting the open to-dos around appointments and people.
- Televisite
- Bringing an external physician into a running video appointment.
- Text snippet
- A saved block of text you insert into messages instead of typing it out every time.
U
- Usage-based billing
- Billing by the video time actually used, rather than by a fixed flat rate.
V
- Video appointment
- An appointment held over video, in the browser and without extra software.
- Video consultation
- The statutory German term for a video appointment carried out and billed under the KBV rules.
W
- Waiting room
- Where participants wait until the professional admits them to the video appointment.
- Waiting screen
- The screen you see before joining. While nobody is in the room it says “Waiting for the host”.
