How to join your video appointment

What you need

• A device with a camera and microphone — computer, smartphone or tablet
• An up-to-date browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari
• A stable internet connection — at least 1 Mbit/s, or 5 Mbit/s for HD quality
• Your join link from the appointment email

Before the appointment

• Run the system check. It tests your camera, microphone, browser and connection.
• Allow access to your camera and microphone when your browser asks.
• On iPhone and iPad use Safari; on Android use Chrome.
• Find a quiet place where you can speak undisturbed.

How to join

1. Open your join link. The room opens up to 2 hours before the appointment.
2. Confirm the consent declaration if your organization requires one.
3. Allow access to your camera and microphone, and use the preview to check that both are working.
4. Join the room. If it says "Waiting for the host", you will be connected automatically as soon as your professional arrives.

If the camera or sound does not work

1. In your browser's site settings, set camera and microphone to "Allow".
2. In your device settings, check that the browser has access to the camera and microphone there too.
3. Close other programs using the camera or microphone — Teams or Zoom, for example.
4. Reload the page.
5. Close the browser completely and open it again.
