Besides Google and Outlook, you can also connect a CalDAV calendar to the planner – for example iCloud, Nextcloud, Fastmail, GMX, Web.de, mailbox.org, Posteo, or another CalDAV provider.

Prerequisites

  • This feature is available in the planner, if enabled for your account.
  • The server URL, your username or email address, and the matching password for your CalDAV calendar. The server URL must start with https://.

How to connect a CalDAV calendar

  1. Open Planner in the sidebar and click the Add external calendar icon at the top, to open the Add calendar dialog.
  2. In the iCloud & CalDAV section, click Connect.
  3. Under Provider, choose your service (for example iCloud (Apple Calendar) or Nextcloud), or Other (enter URL manually) if your provider isn't listed. For some providers, the Server URL is already filled in; for Nextcloud, enter your Nextcloud server address yourself.
  4. Enter your Username / Email and Password / App-specific password, then click Search for calendars.
  5. MeetOne searches your calendar server automatically – you don't need to know the exact calendar URL. Under Select calendars to sync, choose the calendars you want, then click Connect calendars.

For Nextcloud, the CalDAV server address is usually the web address of your installation with /remote.php/dav added (for example https://your-domain.com/remote.php/dav). If you're unsure, ask your Nextcloud administrator for the exact address.

App-specific password for iCloud

For iCloud, Apple doesn't accept your regular Apple ID password for third-party apps like MeetOne. Instead, generate an app-specific password at appleid.apple.com and enter it in the Password / App-specific password field.

What gets synced

MeetOne reads the events from your CalDAV calendar and automatically adds them to your planner, where they're shown with their title – so you can see at a glance when you're already booked elsewhere.

Syncing only runs in one direction: your CalDAV calendar events appear in your planner. MeetOne appointments are not written back to your CalDAV calendar. Only you see the titles of your calendar events – participants never see any details from them.

Disconnecting

Open Planner in the sidebar, click the Add external calendar icon, then click Disconnect in the iCloud & CalDAV section. Any events already imported from that calendar are immediately removed from your planner.

Common issues

  • Calendar search doesn't find any calendars. Check the server URL for typos and make sure it starts with https://.
  • Syncing fails. Check that your password (for iCloud, the app-specific password) is still valid. Disconnect and reconnect with current credentials.
