A prescription in MeetOne goes through three steps: create, review, and sign. Only after signing is it finalized and delivered to your patient. These are private prescriptions – MeetOne does not issue the statutory e-prescription via the German telematics infrastructure.
Prerequisites
- The prescription feature must be enabled for your account.
- The patient's profile must be complete (e.g. address and contact details) before you can confirm the prescription.
Create a prescription
- Open the prescription form, for example by choosing Issue prescription when completing an appointment, or directly from the patient overview.
- Add a medication: search for the product and enter the quantity and dosage. Use Add medication to add further medications.
- Add additional notes if needed.
- Optionally enable Add entry to patient journal if you want your note also saved in the patient journal.
- Click Create prescription.
Depending on your account's configuration, a prescription with several medications may be automatically split into separate individual prescriptions, for example for separate billing.
Review and confirm the prescription
- In the Review prescription dialog, check all details about the medication and the patient.
- Add further notes if needed.
- Click Confirm. The prescription now has the status "unsigned" and is ready to be signed.
If a prescription is created while completing an appointment, the related appointment is automatically marked as completed.
Sign the prescription
Prescriptions are signed with a qualified electronic signature (QES) through an external signature provider.
- Open the overview of your unsigned prescriptions.
- Click Sign now to start the signing process. You can sign several unsigned prescriptions together.
- Follow the steps to confirm your signature.
You can sign up to 50 prescriptions together in a single signing session.
What does your patient receive?
Once signed, a signed PDF is generated automatically. Your patient can always find the prescription under Prescriptions in their MeetOne account to download and print. Depending on your account's configuration, they may also receive an email notification.
Common problems
- The prescription can't be confirmed. Check whether the patient's profile is complete — an incomplete profile blocks confirmation until it's filled in.
- The signature fails. Sign in again and restart the signing process. If the problem persists, contact us.
- The prescription wasn't signed. Check the overview of your unsigned prescriptions — unsigned prescriptions are collected there until you sign them.
