The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you, as a data subject, clear rights over your personal data – this overview explains what they are and how to exercise them with MeetOne.
Who is responsible?
Using MeetOne involves two distinct roles under data protection law: for data collected as part of your treatment (e.g. medical history, prescriptions, treatment documentation), your organization is generally the controller; MeetOne processes this data only as a processor on your organization's instructions. For data related to your MeetOne account itself (e.g. login details, support requests), MeetOne is the controller.
Your rights at a glance
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You can ask what data is stored about you.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You can have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You can request that your data be deleted, unless statutory retention obligations – for example for treatment records – require it to be kept.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You can receive your data in a common, machine-readable format.
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): You can object to the processing of your data in certain cases.
- Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): You can complain to a data protection supervisory authority about how your data is processed, at any time.
How to exercise your rights with MeetOne
- Correct your personal data: Open your profile and update your contact and personal details directly yourself.
- Delete your account and data: Use the Delete account function in your account settings – see Delete my data for the exact steps.
- Access, portability, or objection: For questions about your treatment data, contact your organization, since it is the data controller for that data. For questions about your MeetOne account, contact our support team – we will forward your request to the right place if needed.
- File a complaint: You can contact the data protection supervisory authority responsible for you at any time.
For questions about data collected as part of a treatment, your organization is often the right first point of contact, since it is the data controller for that data.
