You can create an appointment for a participant directly at any time – using an existing contact or entering a new one.
How to create an appointment
- Click Plan an appointment in the sidebar.
- Choose the appointment type:
- Confirmed appointment: the appointment is confirmed and the join link is sent by email right away.
- Require patient confirmation: the participant must first confirm the appointment by email before the join link is sent.
- Instant appointment: the appointment starts immediately and the join links are sent right away.
- Choose the date, time and duration.
- Under Patient details, enter the email address and name or initials – or click Choose from contacts to pick an existing contact.
- Adjust the room configuration if needed: Enable chat, Enable screen sharing, Enable invites and Show audio indicator are switched on by default.
- Optionally add a message to the patient and your notes (visible only to you).
- Click Create appointment now.
When a medical assistant creates the appointment, it's automatically created as a confirmed appointment; they additionally choose the responsible doctor.
If enabled for your account, you can also turn on a waiting room to admit participants individually, and add other people as additional participants.
What the participant receives
MeetOne automatically sends an email with the join link – either as a confirmation request or as a direct appointment confirmation, depending on the appointment type you chose. If you don't want automatic notifications sent for this appointment, enable Don't send any notifications for this appointment and inform the participant yourself.
Common issues
- I can't find an existing contact. Use the search in the Choose from contacts dialog, or enter the email address and name again – a new contact is saved automatically.
- The appointment won't save. Check that the date and time are in the future and don't collide with an existing appointment.
