Audio problems on a video call can go either way: you can't hear the other person, or they can't hear you. First figure out which one applies to you.
You can't hear the other person
- Check your device's system volume and make sure the browser tab isn't muted.
- During the call, open Settings (gear icon) and check under General settings that the correct speaker is selected.
- Test your speakers or headset outside of MeetOne, for example with a music or video clip.
- Reload the page if you still don't hear any audio.
The other person can't hear you
- Check whether your microphone is muted in the call controls (the Microphone button) and turn it on if needed.
- Open Settings and select the correct device under Microphone.
- Check whether your browser has permission to use the microphone (icon in the address bar).
- Test your microphone in another application to rule out a hardware problem.
Bluetooth headsets
Bluetooth headphones and headsets sometimes behave differently from wired devices:
- Make sure the headset is connected and selected as the default device for both input and output.
- Disconnect and reconnect the headset if audio cuts out or sounds distorted.
- Check the headset's battery level.
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
On longer calls on iPhone or iPad, audio can cut out when the device switches to power-saving behavior.
- Keep the screen active during the call (e.g. by tapping occasionally).
- Turn off Low Power Mode while the call is running.
- If audio still cuts out, turn your microphone off and back on, or leave the call and rejoin.
