Joining from a smartphone or tablet comes with a few issues that are typical of mobile operating systems. The tips below help you avoid or fix the most common ones.

iPhone and iPad (iOS)

  • Use Safari. On iOS, you must use the Safari browser for the video appointment. Chrome and Firefox use the same underlying engine as Safari on iOS, but don't reliably support camera and microphone access in the browser.
  • Don't lock the screen. Don't lock the screen or switch to another app during the call. This can cause audio to stop transmitting, because iOS ends microphone access in the background.
  • If audio drops: Tap back into the browser tab with MeetOne. If that doesn't help, leave the call and rejoin.
  • Turn off Low Power Mode. iOS Low Power Mode can affect camera and microphone during the call. Turn it off before your appointment under Settings → Battery → Low Power Mode.

Android

  • Chrome recommended. For the best compatibility, use Google Chrome.
  • Check app permissions. Make sure Chrome has camera and microphone access in your Android system settings.
  • Keep Android System WebView up to date. This system component is used by Chrome for video and audio features. Keep it updated via the Play Store.

Do not disturb / power saving modes

Active Do Not Disturb or battery saver modes can, on both platforms, cause notifications to be missed or limit camera and microphone performance. Turn these modes off for the duration of your appointment if possible.

Keep the browser tab with MeetOne in the foreground for the whole appointment — on both platforms, switching to another app can disrupt the connection.
