Join from your smartphone or tablet

MeetOne runs directly in your smartphone or tablet's browser – you don't need to install any extra app to join your video appointment.

iPhone and iPad

Use Safari to join your appointment. Other browsers such as Chrome rely on the same underlying Safari engine on iOS and can behave unreliably when accessing your camera and microphone.

Where possible, open your join link directly in Safari rather than in the embedded view of another app (for example your email app or a messenger) – otherwise you may not be prompted to allow camera and microphone access.

Android

On Android devices, Chrome is recommended. Open your join link in the full Chrome app rather than in the embedded view of another app, where possible.

During the call

Don't lock your screen or switch apps: Stay in the browser for the whole video appointment and keep your screen unlocked – otherwise video and audio can be interrupted.
Turn off battery saver / low power mode: An active power-saving mode can affect your video and microphone. Turn it off for the duration of the appointment if you can.
Keep your device charged: Video appointments use noticeable battery – plug in your device for longer appointments if possible.
Prefer Wi-Fi over mobile data: A Wi-Fi connection is usually more stable. Use mobile data only if Wi-Fi isn't available, and keep in mind that a video appointment uses data depending on your plan.

Common problems

Connection drops as soon as you switch apps or lock your screen? Stay in the browser for the entire call and keep your screen active.
No prompt for camera and microphone access? Check that you're using Safari (iPhone/iPad) or Chrome (Android) – not the embedded view of another app. See Grant camera and microphone access for details.
Video or audio drops after a while? Check whether battery saver / low power mode is active, and keep your device charged during the appointment if you can.
