During a video appointment, your professional may show you their screen, or you may be asked to share your own.

Watching a shared screen

If your professional shows you their screen, there's nothing for you to set up or enable – it appears automatically in your call.

Sharing your own screen

  1. Click Transfer screen in the call toolbar.
  2. In your browser's picker, choose whether to share your entire screen, a single window, or a single browser tab.
  3. Confirm your choice – sharing starts immediately.

Screen sharing isn't currently available on iPhone or iPad. Use a desktop computer or laptop instead.

Common problems

  • The "Transfer screen" button can't be clicked? This feature isn't supported on iPhone or iPad. It also only becomes available once at least two people are present in the room.
  • Your browser doesn't ask you to choose what to share? Check that your browser is up to date, and allow access if a permission prompt appears.
  • The shared screen freezes or turns black? This can be caused by your internet connection or device settings. See Screen share frozen or black screen for details and further steps.
