As an organization owner, you add practitioners and medical assistants to your organization, change their role, or remove them again.

Prerequisites

Add a team member

  1. Open Organization > Users.
  2. Click Add user.
  3. Choose the Role (Practitioner or Medical Assistant) and enter First name, Last name, and Email address.
  4. Optionally turn on Organization owner if this person should also be able to manage the organization and its members.
  5. Click Add user.

An account is created for the new person; they then receive an email with the next steps.

Every active person with the Practitioner role uses one seat of your plan. Medical assistants don't count toward this. Details in Manage your plan and subscription.

Change a role or grant organization owner status

  1. In the Users list, click the pencil icon (Edit) next to the member.
  2. Adjust the Role and/or the Organization owner toggle.
  3. Save with Save changes.

You cannot remove your own organization owner status — someone else with that status must make the change for you.

Deactivate or remove a member

  1. Click the trash icon in the member's row.
  2. Confirm the dialog.

What happens next depends on the role:

  • Practitioners are marked as deleted; their data is kept for 30 days. To restore an account, contact support at service@meetone.io. Only after that can you permanently remove the entry using Erase permanently.
  • Medical assistants are removed immediately.

A member cannot be removed while they have future confirmed appointments — cancel, delete, or reassign these first. You also cannot remove yourself.

Troubleshooting

  • "You cannot remove yourself": Ask another organization member with owner status to make the change.
  • Removal fails because future appointments exist: Cancel, delete, or reassign the affected appointments to another person before trying again.
