If your organization has set up a digital consent declaration for video appointments, you'll need to read and accept it before joining your appointment.

What you're accepting

The consent declaration is set by your organization, so its exact wording can differ between organizations. It typically confirms your agreement to the treatment and to the processing of your health data for the purpose of that treatment. The full text is shown to you before you confirm. You can withdraw a consent you have given at any time with effect for the future – contact your organization directly to do so.

  1. Open your join link. If consent is required for your appointment and hasn't been given yet, you'll automatically see the consent declaration instead of the waiting room.
  2. Read the displayed text in full.
  3. Check the box next to "I have read and accept the consent declaration."
  4. Click Accept and continue.

You'll then be taken automatically to your video appointment room.

If you don't want to agree, you can open a notice page via Decline. In that case, the call cannot start. Declining isn't saved permanently – you can return to the declaration at any time via Back to consent and accept it after all.

Common problems

  • The consent declaration doesn't appear? Your organization may not require consent for this appointment, or you've already given it.
  • You clicked "Decline" by accident? That's not final. Click Back to consent to review the declaration again and accept it.
  • Nothing happens after you accept? Check that the checkbox next to the declaration is ticked – without it, you can't join the call.
