This article builds on Set up your availability in the planner with details on recurring availability windows that help when planning across several weeks.

Prerequisites

Repetitions in detail

When adding an availability window, the repeat icon lets you set an interval (daily or weekly) and the number of repetitions. There's no monthly repetition and no fixed end date option — instead, you enter how many times the window should repeat, up to a maximum of 52 (with weekly repetition, that's about a year).

Each repeated availability window is created as its own independent entry for that day. There's no underlying link between these dates as a "series."

What happens when you edit or delete one

Because each repeated availability window is an independent entry, editing or deleting a single day does not affect the other days in the repetition. If you need to change or remove several future days, do so for each day individually – using Delete entry or Delete repetition in the Availabilities dialog, or directly in the weekly view.

Overlapping availability windows

The planner does not allow two availability windows that overlap in time on the same day – regardless of appointment type.

If you drag or resize an availability window in the weekly view so that it overlaps an existing one, the existing window is replaced and deleted. After moving a window, check that all the times you intended are still there.

Periods without availability

For periods when you're not reachable – vacation or a training course, for example – simply don't add an availability window for those days, or delete any windows already set for that period. Participants then can't get an appointment with you on those days. Since repeated availability windows are independent entries, affected days need to be removed one at a time.

Common issues

  • After moving an availability window, another one is missing. This happens when the new position overlaps an existing window – the overlapped window was replaced. Add it again if needed.
  • I want to change an entire repeated set at once. That's not currently possible – edit or delete the affected days individually.
