In the participant record, you document your participants' consents — for example for treatment, data processing, or video appointments — and can always see which consents were granted or revoked.
Prerequisites
The full participant record must be enabled for your account.
Record a consent
- Open the participant record for the participant in question and select the Consents section.
- Click Record consent.
- Choose the Consent type (for example treatment, data processing, video appointment, session recording, session transcript, or prescription verification) and optionally enter the Version.
- Click Record.
Timestamp, IP address, and user agent are recorded automatically. Every entry stays permanently in the history and is never edited or deleted afterwards.
Revoke a consent
Click Revoke on the consent in question and confirm the prompt. The revocation is saved as a new entry in the consent history — the original consent stays in place for traceability.
Other consents at a glance
In the same section, you'll also see — read-only — consents from other parts of MeetOne: the consent a participant confirms themselves when joining a video appointment, and the data-storage consent from a questionnaire.
The wording participants confirm before a video appointment is managed centrally by your organization owner. See Understand roles and permissions.
Common problems
- I can't record a consent. Medical assistants need extended permissions for this, depending on your account's configuration.
- The Consents section is missing. The full participant record may not be enabled for your account.
- I can no longer edit a recorded entry. The consent history is deliberately unchangeable — record a revocation or a new entry instead.
